Colorado Premier Training Announces Partnership with Honey Stinger

October 2007 Durango, Colorado. CPT has partnered with Honey Stinger (Steamboat Springs, CO) to offer CPT camp attendees great tasting energy bars to make sure athletes get the most out of their training.

Honey Stinger uses honey as the main source of carbohydrates, as opposed to man-made carbohydrates commonly found in other energy products. Sustaining favorable blood sugar concentrations by ingesting carbohydrates before, during and after training is important for maintaining muscle glycogen stores so that muscle recuperation is more efficient and the athlete is ready to perform again at their highest level the next day. Studies show that honey is low on the glycemic index and therefore provides a long, steady source of energy instead of a spike and crash. Honey, as a hygroscopic, attracts water, and is also a natural antioxidant.

CPTís next camp is a ëbase trainingí camp in Tucson, Arizona from December 30th 2007 to January 5th, 2008.
