CPT Coaching Residency Program

CPT is aggressively looking for sharp and intelligent individuals to move up the ranks in performance coaching with CPT. We’ve developed a coaching education residency program designed to nurture and develop coaches who can make a difference at all levels in sport.

We are currently expanding our Durango, CO headquarters as well as other cities, and are actively seeking additional coaches to be a part of our team in Durango, and other cities throughout the United States and Canada.

What you need:

  • Possess (or be in the process of obtaining) a National Governing Body (NGB) coaching license: i.e. USA Cycling, USA Triathlon, etc.
  • Possess (or be in the process of obtaining) additional licenses or certifications: ACE, ACSM, NATA, NSCA, etc.
  • Have, or are within two semesters of completing, a B.S. or M.S. degree in exercise & sport science
  • Personal experience as an endurance athlete a plus
  • A documented history of coaching experience and a summary of development and success in competition with your coaching guidance


Responsibilities and perks:

  • Report regularly to CPT Headquarters
  • Weekly Coach Education meetings
  • Responsible for coaching athletes via internet, phone and web
  • Actively promote and sell Colorado Premier Training's services
  • Miscellaneous marketing & clerical assistance
  • Ability to grow within the company
  • Ongoing continuing education to gain seniority and experience
  • Mentorship and structured pay scale increases


After we receive your information, a member of our coaching staff will arrange an interview to evaluate your knowledge of coaching, training plan design, human anatomy and physiology, as well as your communication skills and professional aspirations.

Successful candidates are designated as Resident Coaches and supported in every way to move up within the company quickly.
